Keith Murray Ceramics

Keith Murray (1892-1981) was an architect and highly successful designer from New Zealand who worked in ceramics, glass and metalware. After moving to Britain, with his parents as a child, he qualified as an architect in 1921 and then from 1932 he worked for Wedgwood designing simple architectural shaped vases and bowls in matt glazes, the designs of which have since become synonymous with the Art Deco style and period. Keith Murray also designed glass items for Stevens and Williams and metalware for Mappin and Webb.
