Joseph Hoffman

Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956) was an Austrian architect and founding member of the Vienna Secession in 1897 and the Wiener Werkstatte in 1903 where he was involved with the work of Otto Wagner (1841-1918) and Koloman Moser (1868-1918). Hoffmann was prolific with his work and his inventiveness for he designed for both mass-production and for handcrafted work with furniture designs for Jacob & Josef Kohn, glass designs for Lotz and metalwork and textiles.
