Sklo Czech Glass

Sklo is the Czech word for glass and encapsulates the period of the1950s-1970s that saw the renaissance in Czechoslovakian glass design and production. During that period skilled designers and master glass makers from behind the Iron Curtain produced unique, high quality, inspiring designs and glass masterpieces. Amongst the most noted designers are Vladimir Zahour, Stanislav Libensky (1921-2002), Frantisek Vizner (1936-2011) and Frantisek Peceny (1920-1977).
