Ana Greta Eker Jewellery

Ana Greta Eker (born 1928) came from Finland but later relocated to Norway in the 1950s. Originally an industrial designer she became an important designer at Plus, the Applied Arts Centre of Fredrikstad in Norway where she later married Erling Christoffersen, head of the silver department. It was at Plus with fellow designers Erling Christoffersen and Tone Vigland that Eker produced many of her fine examples of geometric and organic jewellery in silver, some with hammered texture and often set with uncut polished stones. The silver workshop of Plus was closed in the 1970s.
