A striking and large unusual brooch of high-fired stoneware in the Sang-De-Boeuf glaze from the special 'Red Kiln' at the Ruskin Pottery at Smethwick. The ceramic is set within a silver mount with rope twist border on a solid silver backing.
Marked: Stamped on reverse of silver Ruskin England Sterling. Size: 4.5cm x 4cm. Circa 1910.
