This watercolour by Dodo Burgner (1907-1998) shows her distinctive style in representing the sophisticated high society of the Weimar Republic of Berlin in the 1920s and 1930s. Although this artwork has suffered some losses it was most probably commissioned by the German satirical magazine 'Ulk' who published much of Dodo Burgner' work.
